Cisco Unified Video Advantage is a desktop companion application that adds live video to standard Cisco IP phone calls. By pairing a supported Cisco Unified IP Phone or Cisco IP Communicator with a PC and a USB webcam, it establishes a parallel video session whenever you place or receive a call, displaying a resizable on-screen video window. Integrated with Cisco Unified Communications Manager for call control, it supports point-to-point video and provides straightforward controls such as start/stop video, privacy, and device selection. Designed to leverage existing telephony and network investments, it enables organizations to enhance collaboration without deploying dedicated video endpoints. Note: This is a legacy solution, and Cisco has since shifted to newer collaboration clients that combine voice, video, messaging, and presence in a single application.
